![]() Whatever the scenario, if you’re trying to use an Apple SuperDrive with Windows and it’s not working as expected, try the steps below to get the SuperDrive functioning in Windows. It's been more than three months! So any help would be very very much appreciated. But SuperDrive does not always work with Windows PC right away however, and sometimes the Apple SuperDrive either doesn’t function as expected, won’t accept a disc, or is not properly recognized in Windows, whether running natively on PC, or a Mac through Boot Camp, or a virtual machine either. I feel that I have left it too long to go back to PC World. So I can read stuff on a DVD but I cannot record stuff to a DVD. I looked at the 'properties' of the the 'cd: e' drive and the total space is 0 and the free space is 0. Since then I have watched DVD movies, and TV recordings on DVD no problem!.īut earlier today I tried to copy some pictures from my hard drive to a DVD and the copy failed. ![]() I contacted PC World was told the drive in should have been a dual CD/DVD. Windows Media Player will also not play dvds. I recalled that one of the pre-installed programmes was Powerdvd and so I tried to play a movie dvd and that didn't work. I then looked at the 'specifications' label on the front of the computer base and it say: dvd +/- rw. Then my brother-in-law sent me a dvd with pictures and said my computer's drive 'e' would read it as well. I'm not a computer expert and just thought drive 'e' was only a cd drive and not a dvd drive and accepted that! ![]() Until recently I only used drive 'e' for cds (pictures, music etc). I have a emachines 5250 desktop computer, purchased from PC World.
